Aussie EAs keen for a move overseas may have found the perfect reason because Steven Bartlett (host of the Diary of a CEO podcast, CEO of Flight Group, LinkedIn influencer and public speaker) is hiring for an executive assistant in the UK.
His previous EA, Sophie Chapman, has been promoted to director of lifestyle at Flight Group and stepping into her shoes would be a rare opportunity to get ultra-close to the top of the UK startup scene. Steven has quickly become one of the most well-known personalities in the UK business environment, aided by his appearances on the TV show Dragons’ Den.
Reporting directly to Steven himself, the ideal candidate should be “an exceptional and dynamic business EA” who can provide “high level administrative, operational and project management support to the high-profile founder of a disruptive and innovative media, marketing and investment group.”
Other responsibilities would include diary management, operational support, logistics, executive meetings, compliance and document management, internal and external communication, special projects, event management and financial support.
It goes without saying, too, that due to Steven’s busy schedule you could expect to be managing a non-stop inbox and a hectic schedule.
So, why would this role be worth emigrating for? Well, you’d be supporting a prominent leader at the forefront of a modern media, marketing and investment company. And clearly the job opens doors – just look at Sophie Chapman stepping into a director role after many years as Steven’s assistant.
That aside, it certainly sounds like a dynamic and challenging role; an incredible opportunity for the right person who can handle the broad range of responsibilities.
Commenting on his belief in the future of Flight Group, Steven said: “I truly believe that we have every core component required ready to disrupt and redefine the global podcasting industry with this new company. We have done this in our own tiny way already with the Diary of a CEO, but I’m haunted by the potential that we see to scale this globally, for the people and the voices who will change the world.”
