Discover Beautiful Catalonia

Tucked in north-east Spain and famed for its exceptional culture, history and gastronomy, Catalonia isn’t just about consumer tourism – it’s also the ideal place to head to for your corporate needs. With an active economy and a great track record in organising international events, Catalonia aims to position itself as a hotbed of business tourism, offering excellence in professional meetings and events. Silvia Garcia, market specialist at the Catalan Tourist Board, says: “Catalonia, with its capital Barcelona, offers an excellent network of conference, convention and exhibition centres with a wide range of unique indoor and outdoor spaces adapted and equipped to accommodate all types of customised meetings and events. “Joining our event will allow you to connect with Catalan companies and discover why Catalonia is a top leading destination for meetings and events in a very dynamic and interactive way.” With more than 300 days of sunshine a year, weather is a great ally for creating unusual outdoor meeting opportunities, whilst the exceptional combination of sea and mountains make all kinds of teambuilding activities possible. If you’re looking to wine and dine top clients, this is the ideal spot too, with gastronomy considered one of the great Catalan values, and rich cuisine from renowned chefs readily available.

Executive PA Media members are invited to Hispania London, on Tuesday, 10 October 2017, between 6.30pm and 9.30pm to find out more about Catalonia’s position as a leading and top quality MICE destination. The Catalan Tourist Board and Catalonia Convention Bureau chose to host their event at Hispania London, located at 72-74 Lombard Street (one of the city’s most emblematic streets), as it shows off the best of Spanish gastronomy through award-winning chefs and an overall excellent culinary experience. Once they’ve settled in, guests will be able to learn more about the region’s MICE opportunities through a fun quiz (being divided into teams with each group benefiting from at least one Catalan representative!) and will be asked to answer a range of questions about Catalonia and its offering for meetings and events. Afterwards, there’ll be a cocktail dinner, providing plenty of opportunities to taste the renowned food and wine of the Spanish region. Of course, guests will have the opportunity to network with local Catalan companies who specialise in the meetings and events industry throughout the event. Finally, all attendees will be entered into a competition for the chance to win a trip to Catalonia, which includes flights and accommodation – what’s not to like!
