Virgin undertakes fleet renewal program

If your boss is a regular Virgin Australia traveller, you will be happy to learn about the airline’s fleet renewal program, which includes the introduction of a Boeing 737-8 aircraft that will reduce emissions by at least 15% per flight – this supports the airline’s commitment of reaching net zero emissions by 2050.

The introduction of the new aircraft also coincides with the unveiling of a new cabin interior that includes 50% extra overhead cabin space (great if your boss doesn’t exactly travel light), new business class and economy seats, in-seat power and in-flight Wi-Fi for the majority of aircraft.

Virgin Australia has flown almost 19 million customers domestically in the past 12 month – the highest number of domestic passengers carried in the airline’s history.
