MEET on London’s Doorstep

Booking regular conferences and events can often be a challenge and finding new venues to keep your meetings fresh and exciting can take a lot of time and effort. MEET Beyond London is a free resource dedicated to helping event planners seek out inspiring venue spaces in South East England.  It’s not a conference bureau, just an online resource putting you in touch directly with the top venues and conference bureaus within the region.  Take a look at two of the featured destinations and some of their venues.

Maidstone,  is just 35 minutes from London by train and only 35 miles from the Channel Tunnel.  Nestling at the foot of the North Downs, this historic Kentish town is surrounded by beautiful countryside and offers a wide variety of venues in all shapes and sizes.

The newly opened Battel Hall at Leeds Castle is built on islands on a lake.  With its classic English interiors, dedicated chef and housekeeper, five onsite bedrooms, the home from home experience is the perfect location for an executive board meeting or dinner.

If you’re looking for a venue in the heart of the town, consider Maidstone’s museums. The contemporary Glass Room, a beautiful light and airy space, or the Bentlif Library, full of historic character, offer a meeting space at an affordable price.

For an outdoor festival, concert or team building event, Maidstone has a wealth of options on its doorstep, from Hop Farm to Kent Event Centre and Mote Park, all offering acres of space within easy access from the M20.

Brighton is the go-to city for international or domestic conferences at under an hour by rail from London and just 30 minutes from Gatwick Airport. The city boasts a huge bedroom stock, venues within easy walking distance of the train station, each other, the vibrant seafront and famous ‘Lanes’.  The iconic Grand Hotel situated on the seafront, has just completed its £3 million exterior restoration, returning this iconic 154 year old facade back to its former glory.

Brighton’s new event and management programme ‘Y-Brighton’ is now available, making it easier to organise a sales team reward or VIP incentive event within the city.

2019 sees the opening of the historic Corn Exchange and Studio Theatre part of the iconic Brighton Dome. This beautifully venue built in 1805 is currently undergoing a £21 million redevelopment with new impressive spaces being available for between 50 – 1700 delegates.
