A TASTE OF THE WORLF HERITAGE LISTED FRASER ISLAND WITH OUT LEAVING MELBOURNE. Fraser Island’s Mercure Kingfisher Bay Resort hosted an intimate gourmet lunch at Hotel Lindrum Melbourne for a select group of Executive PA Magazine readers.
The event was tailored to be a relaxed informal chance for the resort to brief the group on the award-winning eco-property, and how it can cater for conference and incentive groups ranging from three to 300 people.
Experts in how to ‘green’ your event, the resort’s Business Development Manager Leonie Belbin, briefed the group as they dined on grilled swordfish with Italian coleslaw and sauce vierge; lamb backstrap, fondant potato, heirloom carrots and gremolata and finished with desserts of orange crème brulee with summer berries and lavender parfait with toasted almonds, dehydrated pear and lavender tea syrup.
Leonie says the lunch was a chance to really get to know the PAs and talk to them one on one, and ran through the property’s highlights including the meeting rooms with natural light and large open spaces, and its tailored activities which include 4WD eco-tours, Segway sessions and nature walks in and around Great Sandy National Park.
Leonie also discussed its recently launched Mindful Meetings concept – a new signature offering at Mercure Hotels across Australia.
The concept incorporates food and beverage options designed to promote concentration and meditation in corporate groups, and energy boosting activities. It also uses meeting rooms styled to retain attention and drive productivity by making delegates ‘feel good’ including the use of indoor plans.
HERES WHAT ONE OF OUR READERS HAD TO SAY…
“Leonie did the place justice by telling us about the resort and the types of events that they hold there. I was very impressed with Leonie’s attention to detail and the personal service that she provides to her clients. I found the lunch to be very intimate and I really enjoyed the company and getting to know Leonie and some of the other EAs that I haven’t met before. The Hotel Lindrum was a beautiful boutique hotel that I hadn’t been to before and they put on a beautiful lunch and the service was excellent.”
