Hayman anticipates strong 2024

One of Australia’s most exclusive resorts for small conferences and incentive travel rewards, InterContinental Hayman Island Resort is anticipating another strong year in 2024. A consistent and steady pace of business is expected and there is already a notable focus on hosting meetings and corporate events at the destination.

The majority of business at the resort (which sits just a short boat ride from Hamilton Island) has been domestic, particularly from NSW and Victoria, with an average group size of 60 guests. However, the team are highly flexible and have successfully accommodated groups ranging from as few as 10 people to as many as 150.

Marketing manager, Rafael Ruiz, says the appeal of the 182-room resort is multifaceted – “It is an iconic destination with a rich history within the Whitsundays, offering a sense of exclusivity and prestige that adds to the allure of any corporate event. It is a luxury private island that strikes the perfect balance between work and leisure” – and, as such, he is optimistic about the year ahead. “In addition to our international clientele, we have already secured bookings from domestic groups,” he adds.
