EAs connect and learn at the final round of 2019 Executive PA Summits

Melbourne & Sydney hosted a group of EAs and suppliers for a day of networking and development.

On 17 and 24 September, a group of high level executive assistants gathered in their respective capital cities for the final Executive PA Summits of 2019. The two one-day events capped off another successful year for the Summits, which have been running across Australia and New Zealand since 2017.

Melbourne-based EAs met at the Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club on 17 September to discover the latest venues, tools and services that the state has on offer. The day featured entertaining—and occasionally mind bending—keynote presentations from mentalist and behavioural expert Anthony Laye, and HR and relationship guru Karen Gately.

The stunning Zest Waterfront Venues’ The Spit hosted the Sydney Summit. Against a backdrop of one of Sydney’s many gorgeous waterfronts, EAs sat for tailored meetings with suppliers, while learning how to make professional quality video with ‘reformed’ ABC cameraman, Julian Mather and heard the inspiring story of world-record setting wingsuit pilot, Heather Swan.

Attending EA from Godolphin, Sophie Swain said the format of the day, the venue and the presentations combined to make a great day out of the office.

“I really enjoyed the ‘speed dating’ style of meeting vendors with the lecture sessions as a good mix. The venue was a hidden gem that I would be interested in using for a function in the future and the hospitality was perfect,” Ms Swain said.
