Last year, Susan Summerall Wiles was announced as US President-elect Donald Trump’s White House chief of staff. Previously his campaign manager, she will begin her new role when Trump takes over the presidency this month.

Susie is the first-ever female chief of staff in the history of the United States. Not one to be messed with, Trump has referred to Wiles as “the ice maiden” and commented that although she mainly operates “in the back”, she is considered one of the most feared political operatives in the US.

Trump said in a statement that she “just helped me achieve one of the greatest political victories in American history” and “is tough, smart, innovative, and is universally admired and respected”. He added that he did not doubt that she would make the country proud.

As chief of staff, Susie will be considered the president’s top aide, playing a vital role in Trump’s administration. She will essentially manage the White House, overseeing all daily operations and activities, and will become responsible for pulling together the president’s staff. Furthermore, Susie will advise on policy issues and take responsibility for directing and overseeing policy development.

Who is Susan Summerall Wiles?
