Be inspired by some of the best chefs in regional NSW with a cooking school in the Bells at Killcare kitchen. Come and join in as the Bells at Killcare chefs share with you, their culinary experience of living and working in the charming seaside village of Killcare. Class topic changes with the seasons, and may be anything from making fresh pasta to traditional Italian stews and winter ragu’s. A large portion of the produce on the menu in the renowned restaurant, is source locally, grown ethically and even harvested straight from their very own garden. Herbs, Olives, Lemons, Tomatoes, Rainbow Chard, Garlic the list goes on. The Bells at Killcare Cooking School is a fabulous opportunity to explore the kitchen garden and for some hands on, fun cooking in the kitchen.
The Autumn menu at Bells at Killcare celebrates the bounty of the season with dishes like Octopus with eggplant caponata, almond, roasted garlic/parsley vinaigrette and Confit duck leg with chicory, charred nectarine, cherry, lardo and vincotto. The Larder at Bells is a new space for guests to purchase fine deli items to take on a picnic in the National Park, or just back to their cottage. Items at the gourmet Larder include, fresh daily baked artisan breads, crackers, crispbreads, tapenade, various local and imported cheeses, dips, cured meats, fine chocolates, nougat & liqueurs. It is the intention of Bells at Killcare to supply as many local products as possible to help support and show appreciation to local producers in the area.
You can now also enjoy a Pool Bar at Bells too! This exciting addition has been rolled into place and is a fabulous hand-made, perfectly polished caravan inspired by the vintage 1960’s retro style of lazy surf days and popular beach culture. The caravan sits by the pool, and is open from 11am until 6pm daily for in-house guests. The Pool Bar is stocked with fine wines, boutique beers, espresso martinis, a range of spirits and soft drinks, for in-house guests to mingle and enjoy. There is a Poolside menu too which guests may enjoy, including a delicious new Bells Club Sandwich, freshly shucked Oysters and Chefs selection Antipasto plate with ingredients from the garden. A fun afternoon for work or social gatherings.
