A new Marriott property for Sydney’s CBD

If you're managing executive accommodation in Sydney, this one's worth noting for your 2027 forward planner

If you’re managing executive accommodation in Sydney, this one’s worth noting for your 2027 forward planner.

Marriott International has signed an agreement with developer Deicorp to open AC Hotel Sydney Hyde Metropolitan at 133 Liverpool Street, directly opposite Hyde Park in the CBD. It’s expected to open late 2027.

The property will occupy the hotel floors of a 55-storey mixed-use development and feature 104 rooms, as well as a ground-floor all-day dining restaurant, AC Bar & Lounge on level six, a grab-and-go food and beverage outlet, meeting rooms and a gym. Management will be handled by Trilogy Hotels.

For EAs booking corporate stays, the Hyde Park location puts it within easy walking distance of most CBD offices and transport links. The meeting room facilities also make it a potential option for smaller off-site gatherings or executive breakouts.

AC Hotel Sydney Hyde Metropolitan will be the brand’s first property in New South Wales, joining AC Hotel Melbourne Southbank and the soon-to-open AC Hotel Gold Coast as the third AC Hotels property in Australia.

The brand operates more than 250 hotels across 33 countries. Properties participate in the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty programme, relevant for executives who accumulate points across Marriott’s portfolio.
