That dreaded commute

According to a survey by Vodafone, more than 60 per cent of workers would leave their employer for a shorter or less frequent commute – they cited saving money by working closer to home and being more productive as key reasons for wishing to improve their journey time.

So, at your next benefit-focused chat with the boss, consider asking whether every employee needs to make the journey in every day
– it could be a valuable saving in recruitment and training down the line, not to mention a bonus when it comes to attracting fresh talent.

If you don’t need staff in the office, on the shop floor or at
