‘Supportive Mind’ App to boost mental health

Executive assistants expertly balance priorities, anticipate needs, and handle sensitive information in high-pressure environments

Executive assistants operate in fast-paced, high-pressure environments where they are expected to juggle competing priorities, anticipate executive needs, and manage sensitive information, often with little room for error. This constant demand for perfection, paired with long hours and emotional labour, can quietly take a toll on their mental health.

The good news is that Mental Health Foundation Australia (MHFA), in collaboration with Infosys, a global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting, announced the creation of a mobile app called ‘Supportive Mind’. The app will aim to provide accessible, real-time mental health resources.

A mental health support app provides a private and accessible way for EAs to manage stress, build resilience, and access professional guidance when needed. It acts as a vital tool for maintaining balance and well-being, helping one stay focused, confident, and emotionally grounded in a role that is as demanding as it is critical.

The ‘Supportive Mind’ app addresses the growing demand for accessible mental health support, particularly for individuals who struggle to balance busy lifestyles due to work, education, and personal or family commitments. The app offers a comprehensive range of features to help users prioritise their well-being and adopt simple, beneficial habits in their daily routines. Key features include mood tracking and insights, personalised activity recommendations, walking challenges, fundraising campaigns, self-care tools, and wellness tips delivered via push notifications. The app will initially launch through pilot programmes in the education, corporate, and community sectors.

Professor Melissa Green, Chairperson, Mental Health Foundation Australia, said, “We are thrilled to introduce Supportive Mind to the public. This app showcases our commitment to improving physical and mental health through innovative solutions. With Supportive Mind, users can easily incorporate well-being activities into their daily lives, helping them achieve a healthier, happier lifestyle.”

Andrew Groth, Executive Vice President, Asia Pacific, Infosys, said, “At Infosys, our purpose is to amplify human potential and create opportunities for people to thrive. We understand the critical role mental health awareness plays in building inclusive, supportive communities. Our collaboration with MHFA to develop a scalable digital solution underscores our commitment to leveraging innovation to make mental health support accessible to everyone, wherever they live or work. We are excited to see this initiative drive meaningful change for individuals and communities alike.”
