Dr Lauren Burns OAM made sporting history at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, winning the first gold medal awarded in taekwondo after the sport joined the Olympic programme. She was one of three Australian women to win individual gold at those Games, alongside Cathy Freeman and Susie O’Neill.
Her victory was built on discipline, perseverance and teamwork. Today, Lauren draws on that experience in presentations that combine candid stories, humour and practical, evidence-based strategies for wellbeing and high performance.
