Melbourne Executive PA Summit returns on 23 July

Melbourne based executive assistants looking to build new supplier connections, discover fresh ideas and invest in their own professional development are being encouraged to attend the Melbourne Executive PA Summit on 23 July, following strong feedback from delegates who attended previous events.

Among them is Toni Harbottle, Executive Assistant to the CEO of AMS Group, who described the Summit as a valuable opportunity to combine learning, networking and business development in a single day.

Harbottle attended the Summit last year and said the format delivered a practical mix of professional development sessions and one-on-one meetings with suppliers.

“So far I’m loving it,” she said during the event. “It’s a good mix of personal development as well as networking.”

The Melbourne Executive PA Summit follows a proven appointment-based format, bringing together qualified executive assistants and office professionals with leading hotels, venues, speakers, event & travel services, and other business suppliers. Delegates receive a personalised diary of pre-scheduled meetings matched to their areas of interest, removing the need to spend hours researching suppliers independently.

Alongside the meetings, attendees also gain access to a professional development program designed specifically for executive assistants.

Harbottle said the educational content was one of the highlights of the event, particularly sessions covering artificial intelligence and workplace communication styles.

She described the presentations as “fantastic” and “very insightful”, adding that learning about emerging technologies such as AI was both valuable and exciting.

The structured supplier meetings also proved worthwhile. Harbottle said the one-on-one format allowed her to have meaningful conversations and explore how suppliers could support her organisation’s needs. She identified several suppliers she expected AMS Group would do business with following the event.

Perhaps most importantly, Harbottle said the Summit provided something executive assistants rarely receive – the opportunity to focus on themselves.

“It’s really nice to have a moment to just be looked after,” she said.

When asked whether she would recommend the Summit to colleagues, her answer was immediate: “Definitely.”

The Melbourne Executive PA Summit takes place on 23 July and is open to qualified executive assistants, personal assistants, office managers and event organisers.

Attendance is complimentary for approved delegates and includes professional development sessions, supplier meetings, meals and networking opportunities.

For executive assistants seeking new ideas, trusted suppliers and valuable industry connections, the Summit offers a productive day away from the office with benefits that extend well beyond the event itself.
