Following an investment of $3.9 million dollars, Hamilton Island has officially opened its latest meetings and events venue, the Beach Pavilion. Formerly the Bougainvillea Marquee, the new Beach Pavilion was designed to fit in with the natural beauty of Hamilton Island. With an exterior that shares similarities to the island’s world-class resort qualia, the interiors of the Beach Pavilion boast modern American Oak and white scalloped wall panels with a light terrazzo floor tile with a grey border tile.
When creating the Beach Pavilion, Hamilton Island worked to design a space which caters to a wide variety of event styles and set ups. Subsequently, the Beach Pavilion can be used for a banquet set up of up to 280 guests, a classroom of up to 340 guests, a theatre set up of up to 420 guests, a cocktail of up to 400 guests, and a space for trade shows of up to 32 2x3m booths.
Located a short walk from the Reef View Hotel, the space can be fully enclosed or alternatively opened with concertina doors to a lawn which flows directly onto the island’s famous Catseye Beach, which is ideal for pre-function entertainment.
The completion of the Beach Pavilion comes after a year of major upgrade works on Hamilton Island including the full refurbishment of the Reef View Hotel Foyer and the opening of the island’s latest luxury Great Barrier Reef Experience, Heart Island. The investment in the island this year signifies the ongoing dedication Hamilton Island has to hosting truly world-class events.
