Welcome back, readers!
I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend and is ready to tackle what’s to coming this week. I’ve been lucky enough to have a relaxing couple of days off in Noosa with the rest of the cast as our shows took us to the beautiful Sunshine Coast. Who doesn’t love a coastal break? We’re over 50 shows into the tour now and the legs are starting to feel very tired, so any down time we get is a blessing!
Next stop on the touring schedule is Bundaberg – an iconic Aussie town. Bundaberg is known as the southern gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and is an easy 4 hour drive or 50 minute flight from Brisbane. But of course, it’s most well known and internationally recognised as the birthplace of Bundaberg Rum. With a diverse history and an iconic reputation, Bundaberg could be the next great place to organise a meeting or event.
Bundaberg Multiplex Sport and Convention Centre
Looking for a venue that’s a one-stop-shop for all your event needs? The Bundaberg Multiplex Sport and Convention Centre is perfect for your next exhibition, conference, gala dinner, or board meeting, with extensive space and facilities to carry off the event exactly how you like it. The centre is conveniently located in the heart of Bundaberg and is easily accessible from the Isis Highway. Purpose-built in 2017, the facilities are modern and have in-house technical support and catering for all your event needs.
Bundaberg Rum Distillery
Post-event tours at the Bundaberg Rum Distillery are a great way to strengthen connections and bond with delegates while learning about what makes Bundaberg so iconic: bundy rum. Distillery experience tours run every hour on the hour from 10am-3pm Monday-Friday and 10am-2pm Weekends and public holidays, so there’s plenty of time to book in your tour. The tour takes your through the history of Bundaberg Rum and the process of distilling the rum in the factory. And if you’re really lucky, at the end of the tour you’ll get to taste test a selection of beverages and even take some home for later.
What’s even better is that during my research, I also stumbled upon a ready-made business events guide for Bundaberg so I thought I may as well link it for further perusal!
