Evening wine tasting at Hunter & Barrel Cockle Bay

For this Sydney event guests started arriving at 5pm, with many EAs arriving by train and simply walking to Cockle Bay, then enjoying a glass of sparkling upon arrival. Guests enjoyed canapes and small plates throughout the evening including crispy pork belly, eye fillet, fried squid, lamb pockets, chilli garlic prawns and chicken skewers. A selection of barrel-aged wines and house cocktails were also enjoyed.

A wine tasting was hosted by Brokenwood Wines and the beverage manager conducted a cocktail making demonstration showcasing its exclusive Smoked Margherita cocktail. Guests mingled and moved around the restaurant/bar and alfresco spaces, thoroughly enjoying the warmth and ambience.

“This is such an effective platform to showcase our venue to our target audience on a large scale. The event is easy to organise and execute with a lot of support and communication from the team at Executive PA Media. I have held this event many times at various venues, the immediate result has always been excellent and we will see the benefits in the months to come.” -Bridgit Ruhle, event organiser, Hunter & Barrel

“Such a warm and cosy atmosphere with superb food to match!” -Kerrie Daly, PA, KPMG

“Hunter & Barrel has elevated the quality of food and service in the Cockle Bay Wharf precinct. As an Executive PA Media event it was fun and informative. The cocktails, food and special Brokenwood Cricket Pitch wine tasting on the night were excellent. The venue has a good vibe as it is tasteful but still casual enough to provide a relaxing atmosphere. Staff at the event were professional and helpful.” -Lynn Croft Garvan, Building Services Manager, Institute of Medical Research

“One of the best reader events I’ve ever attended. From the moment you walked through the door the service was impeccable. Somewhere I would be happy to recommend and I will be booking here soon. Pure perfection.” -Donna Flynn, EA, Newscorp

“As soon as I stepped into the restaurant I felt as if I was transported into a warm and earthy forest with the beautiful and unique ceiling centrepiece and the amazing wood aromas that were coming from the open kitchen. The food was superb and the staff were very friendly and attentive. I can’t wait to use this venue for our team lunches and dinners.” -Caroline de Beaufort, Execuitive Assistant, American Express

“I attended with a few colleagues and we were all impressed with the quality of food and service. Having the various drink stands made it a lot of fun. It was interesting to see how they have changed the look and feel of the space since the old Chinta Ria days. It is a lot warmer and the privacy of the booths would make it quite ideal for client lunches when confidential transactions are being discussed.” -Sally-Anne Mitterlechner, Executive Assistant, Deutsche Bank
