In China they say to make friends first then do business. And, although traditional corporate etiquette is still to present a business card with two hands, there’s a new method relationship-building coming to the forefront – WeChat.
The app, which has more than 700 million active users, combines instant messaging, a social feed and a payment platform – and is said to be a networking must for companies and professionals visiting China, especially those engaging with younger professionals. With a scan of a QR code, two users are instantly connected.
