Eager to educate EAs about the power of strategic and creative teambuilding, Corporate Challenge Events hosted a series of get-togethers across Australia with groups of assistants keen to add a bit of pizzazz to their company culture
Events series comprised: 27th July at Oakwood Hotel & Apartments, Brisbane; 10th August at View by Sydney, Sydney; 24th August at Fraser Suites, Perth; 31st August at Stamford Plaza, Auckland; and 14th September at Arts Centre, Melbourne.
Each of the five events offered the same entertaining yet informative format, starting off with an informal welcome, followed by a presentation by Corporate Challenge Events’ managing director, Dwain Richardson. Here, he discussed how EAs can contribute to
a positive team culture and, fittingly, there were some positive audience activities to follow.
With Christmas parties only a few months off, the festive theme gave guests a chance to brainstorm on how to do the work Christmas party differently. It was then on to the venue, where a representative gave an overview and offered comprehensive tours, followed by canapés and a spot of networking – the perfect opportunity to catch up with other EAs, the Corporate Challenge Events team and those representing the venue.
A business card draw concluded all five events and each lucky winner secured a substantial discount on a teambuilding programme with Corporate Challenge Events. For those who didn’t score the big prize – and those who did – there was an opportunity to grab an exclusive discount voucher to be used on a teambuilding event this year.

WHAT OUR ORGANISERS HAD TO SAY
“It was our objective to provide something a bit different and of value to the audience, so we focused on providing strategies and tips on how PAs can impact the culture in their organisation. We received some wonderful feedback after each event and it’s enabled us to grow our EA network. It was a really engaged audience and they had some fun, too. All five venues were superb and it showed how a smart venue combined with an engaging event can be a great recipe for team building.”
