f you’re keeping purse strings tight when it comes to booking flights and accommodation, be wary of online providers strategically overcharging you by using cookies (small files downloaded to your computer the first time you visit a website so that next time you visit, the website can tailor what’s shown based on the intelligence it already has on you).

A recent report by The House of Lords EU Committee highlights travel websites using these whilst bookers say they’ve encountered airlines using this tool to increase prices. Thankfully, EAs can quickly bring pricing back to the rate they saw on the first site visit by simply clearing these files – doing a quick internet search on ‘steps to clear your cookies from your web browser’ may just save your budget!
